Who can you trust to help you with the SAT?

Who can you trust when it comes to SAT prep? You have to wonder if the College Board (the test maker) is the best source given that used to to say the best prep was to simply study hard in school and maybe go through their pamphlet. They don’t really have a clear incentive to help people dramatically raise their scores, since it diminishes the value of their test to their end clients: the colleges that want consistent, reliable, and predictable data. I think it’s like expecting cigarette manufacturers to show you how to quit smoking. They’ll tell you, but just doesn’t work too well for some weird reason.
